The Accommodations at Espana Cycling Vacations…were selected for their charm, character and location. The Catalan Masia (country house) dates back to the XVI & XVII centuries. Some Masias were dairy farms, others cultivated the land. The families and workers usually shared the stone house, living quarters being on the top floor, and the barn and stables occupied the ground floor. More recently these Masias have been restored and turned into beautiful family-owned and operated eco-tourism hotels, each with its unique character. Located in a natural setting of Mediterranean forest just outside of Girona, they offer an inviting mix of past and present. The Masia features double occupancy rooms with modern private bathrooms in every room. We’ll be spending the week in the Masia, except for when we ride to Tossa de Mar and stay in a 4 star Mediterranean resort, within walking distance of the beach and its walled old quarters. It features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, jacuzzi, and a Health Spa, where you can get an optional massage and personalized treatments, which you will need to reserve ahead of time, so please let us know at the time of booking.
